FIVE-DAY ECOLOGY ADVENTURE PROGRAMS
The Schoharie River Center is offering two Ecology Field Schools this summer:

Watershed Ecology (Grades 4-6)
8/10-8/14
Mon-Fri - 9-4pm
Grades: 4-6
At the Schoharie River Center: 2025 Burtonville Rd. Esperance, NY
Participants will study the ecology of the Schoharie Watershed and the surrounding tributaries.
*Hiking, kayaking, swimming, and biking
*Water Quality Monitoring
*Field research, explore and document the area.
*Discover and study plants and animals
Cost: $250/week (Possible scholarships/days rates available upon special arrangement)

Envrio-Kids In The Park offers free ecology based activity for all school aged children. Mon-Fri 1:30 to 3:30pm in Schenectady's Central Park. Located just outside the pavilion, across from the future SEEC building.

Watershed Ecology and Videography
Summer 2020
This program integrates the study of forest ecology, watershed ecology, wildlife and invasive species monitoring, nature photography and videography and is led by experienced field biologists, video & media arts instructors. We will assess water quality, water chemistry and conduct macro-invertebrate analysis in the field. Participants will hike, bike and boat to get to various study sites throughout each weeklong field school.Watershed Ecology and Videography




Archaeology Field School



Summer 2020
Working alongside professional archaeologists, participants will conduct scientific research to uncover Schoharie County’s multilayered historical past as we excavate the site of a 1712 early colonial fortified homestead along the Schoharie Creek.
