Volunteer Opportunities
The Schoharie River Center cannot exist and be successful without its volunteers. If you would like to volunteer some of your time, please contact the Executive Director (John McKeeby) for more information. Help is always welcome in these areas:
EST Programs
If you are a parent of an EST member, you are welcome to join us on EST days and lend a hand. Make maple syrup, cross country ski, hike, learn about water quality testing while helping others learn and have fun while doing it. It’s a great way to share fun learning experiences with your child.
Buildings & Grounds
From time to time we organize work days to maintain our nature preserve and our buildings. If you’re a hands-on type of person, we can use your help.
Fund Raising
If you have experience organizing fund raising events or writing grant applications, especially for not-for-profit organizations, we welcome your help.
Cultural Arts Programs
If you are skilled in a unique craft that you would like to share with others, lets talk. We may be interested in promoting a workshop where you can share your skills and craft with others in the community.
