Urban Ecology Filed School

A five-day ecology studies adventure program for youth ages 12-17 yrs. at the Amsterdam Free Library

Participants will study the ecology of the Mohawk River watershed and the City

of Amsterdam.

*Explore Mohawk River and Canal system through paddling and biking.

*Assess water quality and conduct macro invertebrate analysis (WAVE) of

the of the Dove Creek and South Chuctanunda Creek, and other tributaries

of the Mohawk River.

*Conduct field research, explore and document Amsterdam

*Create short films and videos documenting the City

*Make friends, have fun!

Cost: $250 per week (Scholarships may be available)

Drop off and pick-up at the Amsterdam Free Library, 28 Church St. Amsterdam, NY
