About the Event
Come learn about the programs and activities offered by the SRC for the Winter. Open to families, teens, and all interested. There will be warm drinks and snacks available. Come dressed in warm clothing. You can just show up, but if you know you are coming, feel free to let us know, so we can expect you. 12-4pm
Environmental Study Team An environmental advocacy and ecological monitoring program for teens. This is a free program open to all teens. This winter activities: cross country skiing, maple syrup production, hiking, timber framing, water quality monitoring, tree identification, Envirothon, and more.
Cross Country Skis and Showshoes Available to borrow and take on the trails in our nature preserve.
Blacksmithing Our blacksmith shop will be open to check out and learn how you can get involved through workshops and shop hours.
Timber Framing We have just completed an addition to our cultural hall, completely timber frame constructed through traditional methods. Come see the work that was done by our community through workshops and workshop hours.
After School Programs Learn about the work we are doing in Middleburgh and Schenectady
Hiking Take a hike down to the creek on our nature preserve.
Media Learn about our filmmaking program and on going documentation projects.
Schenectady Environmental Education Center Learn more about the education center that the SRC will be leading programming at in Central Park in Schenectady.
