Rug Hooking with Marty Liptak - Fiber Arts Series

This two-day workshop is for those who have always  wanted to learn the techniques and design elements of traditional rug  hooking.  A materials fee will provide all of the materials needed to master this art at the beginner’s level.

Schedule:

Day 1: 9am – 4pm

Day 2: 9am – 1200pm 

Materials Fee:

$40.00 includes pattern, wool and hook

Frames will be available to use

Please bring scissors

Goal:

A fun and relaxed class where students will learn the fundamentals of Rug Hooking.

Instructor:

Marty Liptak is a local rug hooker living in Schuylerville NY. Marty has been rug hooking for 8 years and is Pearl McGown Certified Teacher. Her work has been honored at the Green Mountain rug show and been in Rug Hooking Magazine. She loves to rug hook.

Description:

We will hook a Holiday mat 12 by 12 in a 6 cut. We will learn how to hook and finishing techniques to complete our mats. Students will have the opportunity to use different hooks and frames as well as cutters.
