About the Event
The Schoharie River Center is hosting an open house/invasive removal volunteer day on June 7th and we are inviting all of you and your families to come learn about invasive species and help us remove several species from the preserve. 12-4pm (or any part of that time)
We will be cutting down and digging out Japanese Barberry, hand pulling Garlic Mustard, and cutting back the Multiflora Rose. We will have gloves and tools, but please bring any tools you might have that would help (pruning shears, loppers, etc.).
We will have snacks and drinks available, and plenty of breaks throughout the day. If you can make it for just a portion of the time, that is okay too. We would just be happy to see you, and we'd appreciate all the help we can get.
