Discover the Waterway bike-a-thon

"First Annual “Discover The Waterway" Bike-a-Thon in honor of the ecological importance and beauty of the Mohawk and Schoharie watersheds.  Benefiting the Schoharie River Center's mission of promoting Learning, Arts and Science through community based environmental education, youth development and community building through the Arts and stewardship programs serving all in the watershed . 

We are looking for individuals or groups that would like to register to ride either solo or in relays, or to volunteer to help at the event at water stations along the route and/or back at the SRC.

The ride begins at the Bike Path entrance at SUNY Schenectady and travels west to Schoharie Crossing along the Empire State bike path on the Towpath of the Erie Canal. The ride turns south at Schoharie Crossing (Fort Hunter) and cyclists will  ascend up the plateau into the Schoharie River Valley,  ending the ride with food, music and fun at the Schoharie River Center in Burtonville.
