The Schoharie River Center brings all of its programs (EST, Archeology Summer School, Silent Movie Night, guest speakers, community service activities, live musical performances, and much much more) all through the donations it receives, grants it is awarded and various fund raising activities such as the annual Bronze Back Roundup Fishing Derby and Pancake Breakfast.

And now, we've initiated a capital campaign to raise funds to purchase a building and piece of property on the Schoharie Creek, to establish the new Schoharie Creek Community Environmental Science Center and Riparian Nature Preserve. We need your help to make turn this into a reality.

Here are a some other ways you can help us continue to run and expand these programs.

• GE Foundation Matching Gifts Program - We participate in the GE Foundation Matching Gifts program. If you are a current or retired GE employee, any funds you donate to us, GE will match through this program. Click here to learn more...
• Become a member - membership is a great way to stay informed with what is happening at the Schoharie River Center and EST. If you are a middle school or high school student, you can join for free, and attend any and all EST meetings.

• Donate your car - Donate your car, boat, truck, RV, Jet Ski or snowmobile to Schoharie River Center and receive a tax deduction.

  This no cost, no hassle process begins when you contact our fundraising partner, Donation Line LLC at 877-227-7487. Make sure to ask for our extension, 2304.

  Or you can click here, "Donate Your Car Now", and complete the Vehicle Donation Form on line. Make sure to select Schoharie River Center from the dropdown list. Please have your title in hand when you donate.
  

• Donate used printer cartridges and cell phones - we collect used inkjet and laser cartridges as well as cell phones, and then return them to be recycled. Not all cartridges and cell phones are accepted - check here for a list of acceptable cartridges and phones. Or, bring them in and we'll sort them out. Just drop them off at the Schoharie River Center.

  We receive credit from Funding Factory to purchase supplies, or we receive cash. And, it helps keep these things from going to the landfills. So, help the environment while helping us!
